New formulation?

The Elvive range has recently changed it's packaging. Unfortunately it seems the formulation may have changed as well. I have boughts bottle after bottle of the old forumlation and it was my favourite shampoo and conditioner that worked so well for my fine blonde tinted hair, and smelt amazing too. I bought the new packaged range and am SO disappointed. The frangrance is way too strong and cheap and it now leaves my hair feeling dried out "crunchy", not soft and lovely like the old formulation. I then tried the coconut oil range but it left my hair the same. I threw out all my new bottles and am now searching for a new brand. Very disappointing.

Brightened my Colour!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As with all of L'Oréal shampoos and conditioners, lovely smell and texture. I used a small amount after before using the Colour Protect Conditioner. Loved the shine and my colour (about 3 months old) did appear more vibrant. Only drawback for me is, having fine hair, I find that using the conditioner along with the moisturising shampoo, weighs my hair down a little so the bounciness only last a day and then I have to rewash, as my hair looks a little flat and lifeless. Tried using only the shampoo, and as the shampoo is pretty luxurious, this worked better for my hair. Will be having a recolour soon, so will then if it helps to sustain the colour.

Formula Change Disaster

Now, one of the worst shampoos on the market They are actually putting SLS in the conditioner (which is a detergent) which will strip your hair of moisture and cause it to produce more oil, hence the feeling of greasy hair. They have also removed the coconut oil from it as well nad pumped a load of glycerin into it. It's making my hair hard to style and leaving it greasy by the end of the day. I used it for 20 plus years, but never again. I've tried numerous alternatives, and most of them are better than L'oreal, but still not the same.
I'm sure the formula change is a cost cutting exercise by some pen pusher with a calculator.

Terrible! Greasy & tacky!

New formula is absolutely terrible! My hair feels greasy and tacky after being washed. It almost feels like the product will not wash out of my hair. Leaving it greasier than it was before washing. There was no need to change the formula from the previous product. I have used the original colour protect for a few years which was great. No issues at all,however I’ve given this new formula a go for a couple of months now and could not recommend. I will need to find something else on the market

Really Disappointed

Long-time user of this product, as I regularly dye my hair bright colours. After switching to the new formula for shampoo and conditioner, my hair post-wash and blow dry is greasy and crunchy/clumpy, and like I haven't even washed it! Thought maybe it was just me, but looked online and found a lot of people with the same experience. I just forked out $40NZD for the big pump bottles as well. Please consider reverting back to the existing formula, you are losing loyal customers :(

Great shampoo that won't break the bank

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this shampoo as part of my everyday routine and find the shampoo is most importantly easy to apply to my hair as it is thick and easy to comb through root to tip. I love the smell and the lightness it gives my hair with control and body and also shine throughout my highlights. I feel really empowered after using this shampoo as it does make such a difference to my hair without costing the earth. I will continue to use this as part of my routine and was offered a sample to try and was so pleasantly surprised how this shampoo made my hair so manageable and it was kind to my ends.
